Guy E. Stoner, 718 Washington Ave., died Friday at 8:30 a.m. at Altoona Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born June 10, 1911 at Tyrone, a son of Clarence A. and Nellie M. Akers Stoner. On Feb. 22, 1935 at Bedford he was married to Ann J. Steele.
Surviving are the widow, two sons and a daughter, Edmund G., of Los Angeles; Mrs. Patricia A. DelBaggio, and David L., both of Tyrone; also six grandchildren.
A daughter Pamela is deceased.
Also surviving are a brother, Harvey, of Harrisburg, and three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Baronner, Tyrone; Mrs. Betty Conrad, Warriors Mark, and Mrs. Mabel Dunlap, Buffalo, N.Y.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, of Moose Lodge 25, the Blazing Arrow Hook & Ladder Fire Co., and the Bellwood Eagles.
He was employed by Stoner Awning Co., retiring last June.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home. In charge of the Rev. Thomas J. Hopkins. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
