Roy M. Ducat, 62, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011.
He was born in Perrysburg to Marshall "Duke" and Joan (Gonyer) Ducat. He married Diane Piccirillo on March 16, 1982 in First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green and she survives in Bowling Green.
Also surviving are his children: Amber (Tom) Ducat-Dent and Willie (Amy) Ducat, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Lisa (Doug) Merrill of Williamsburg, Virginia, Dustin Ducat of Cleveland, Ohio, Rick Barker of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ryan Ducat of Cleveland, Ohio, Betsy (Chris) Drake and Jacquelyn (Tyler) Ducat-Layman, both of Cincinnati, Ohio and Robert and Matthew Ducat of Bowling Green, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and his father, Marshall (Connie) Ducat of Perrysburg; a brother, Billy Ducat of Perrysburg, Ohio and his special in-laws Nick and Betty Piccirillo of Dayton, Ohio.
Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Joan, and a sister, Amy Ducat.
Roy was a graduate of Perrysburg High School and also of Bowling Green State University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.
Roy was a member of the Bowling Green F.O.E #2180 and loved to fish and hunt. Roy had many great stories of fishing with his buddies at Au Sable River in Lovells, Michigan.

He worked part-time at Al-Mar Lanes, where it was his place to get away and bowl. Roy was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan.
Roy's most important thing was his family. He coached his children's baseball and softball teams and was up every morning to make sure they had breakfast before they went off to school. According to his family, Roy made some of the best fried potatoes, onions and omelets and loved grilling out. Roy's other pride and joy were his grandchildren. Roy would take them fishing, camping, parasailing and help them with school or club projects.
Roy was considered to be Mr. Fix-it; he would drop anything at any hour of the day to help someone in a time of need. Roy had a love for country music and for people. Many of his friends considered him to be the older brother they didn't have. When Roy was not helping other people, outside fishing or with his family, Roy would spend his time with his two dogs, Ivey, his bird dog, and Rufus, his couch dog.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 West Wooster Street, PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, where Roy's funeral service was Thursday, July 21, 2011.
