Frances Ann Adams
November 2, 1930 – March 20, 2013

Adams, Frances Ann (nee Miksa) 82, passed away at her residence on March 20, 2013 with her family by her side. Frances was born in Braidwood, Illinois on November 2, 1930 the daughter of the late Francis and Frances (nee: Borowicz) Miksa. She was united in marriage to Richard C. Adams on February 12, 1950 in Aurora, Illinois.

Frances was a highly respected piano teacher in Southeastern Wisconsin and a longtime member of the Racine Music Teachers Association. She taught and inspired students of all ages for over 40 years, many of whom went on to excel in competitions and festivals, and continue to play to this day. Her musical talents were also evident as she accompanied Richard, her tenor soloist husband of 61 years, as well as her children. Always striving to better herself and find outlets for her creative energy, Frances listened for God's still small voice urging her toward new adventures. Frances was a published author of articles in Christian magazines regarding the daily walk as Christians, a gardener, a jam and jelly and pie maker from the fruits of her gardens, a professional research assistant, a genealogist, and an avid reader. In her soft spoken manner, Fran never stopped sharing her faith in Christ. She led by example, showing her family, sisters and brothers, and her friends the meaning of unconditional love. Frances loved God. She loved her family. She had no greater joy or calling than being a wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on January 23, 2012; brother-in-law, Milton Langfield; son-in-law, Harry Barnes II; and special friend, Lois Sutton.
