Muriel Tucker Turner of Marks, 80, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale of cancer.

Services were Friday, December 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks with burial in the Marks Cemetery. The Rev. James Tidwell of First Baptist Church in Marks officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks had charge.

Born April 13, 1927, in Mississippi County, AR, she was a graduate of Marks High School. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Turner Appliance in Marks. Mrs. Turner was an active member of Marks First Baptist Church since 1937 and was a Sunday School teacher and choir member. She was a member and past president of the Marks Garden Club, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Wilson Lake Country Club, where she was an avid golfer.

She is survived by her husband, A. R. "Rex" Turner of Marks; a son, A. Rex Turner, Jr. and wife, Dianne of Albany, GA; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Marks or to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
