Services for Emma Blanche Byrd, 87, of Lone Oak, formerly of Wingo and Graves County, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lone Oak First Baptist Church, where she was a member. Drs. Willis Henson and Dan Summerlin and the Rev. Stan Reid will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Kenton Cemetery.

Mrs. Byrd died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday at Lourdes hospital.
She was a homemaker.

Surviving are seven daughters, JoEtta Riley of Melber, Rita Newsome of Benton, and Ann Henderson, Phyllis Snelling, Sue Dotson, Nancy Plewke and Shelia Adams, all of Paducah; four sons, Jay Donald Byrd, Gerald Byrd, Richard Byrd and Dwayne Byrd, all of Paducah; four sisters, Mellie Taylor of Wingo, Martha McManus and Reba Smith, both of Mayfield, and Glenda Keeling of Davidson, Mich.; a brother, Kenneth Mullins of Benton; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Byrd; her parents, Beeler and Hettie Gray Mullins; a sister; and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Lone Oak chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
