Mrs. Eva Bennett, Formerly of Craig, Rites in Tekamah
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Herbert Bennett in the First Presbyterian church in Tekamah. Mrs. Bennett died at the Oakland hospital Feb. 9 after months of failing health. She was 64 years of age. The Rev. Burton F. Smyth officiated at the service. Mrs. Alvin Bruce sang "Abide with Me" with Mrs. Helen Svoboda, accompanist. Burial was made in the Craig cemetery, where a concluding service was held. Pallbearers were James Wheeler, James Goll, Phillip Schulke, Harry Erwin, Ross Ernst and Harry Hoke Christeson.

Olivia F. Anderson was born in Craig, Nebr., Dec. 19, 1896, the daughter of A. A. Anderson and Celia Anderson. She received her eduction in the Craig and Oakland schools and grew to womanhood in Craig. February 21, 1917, she was united in marriage to Herbert J. Bennett of Craig. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and sang in the church choir for many years. She was chief operator for the Craig Telephone Co. for a number of years, when her husband was associated with his father in the lumber business in Craig. Her husband later became manager for the Lowa-Nebr. Light and Power Co. at Craig, where he served until transferred to Tekamah to become manager of the Central Electric and Gas Co. more than 18 years ago. Mr. Bennett still holds that position.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband, Herbert; sisters, Mrs. Guy Smith of Craig, Mrs. Frank Smith of Tekamah, Mrs. Dallas Gammel and Mrs. Frank Lantefield of Omaha, and brothers, Carl Anderson of Craig and Oscar Anderson of Fremont. Her parents, one sister, Mrs. Alma Lantefield, and a brother, Theodore, preceded her in death.
