Funeral services for Laura C. McFadden, conducted by Rev. Franklin Garrett, were held Sat., April 30, 2005, at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, followed at Barr Cemetery. Ms. McFadden, 84, died Mon., April 25, 2005, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. She was born May 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Walter McFadden and Elizabeth Barr McFadden. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, where she sang on the choir. She was a former Sunday school teacher, a member of the Clemson Extension Club, and a member of Good Hope Order of the Eastern Star #269. She was a graduate of Morris College, where she received a bachelor of arts in elementary education. Survivors are: two brothers, Rev. Roosevelt McFadden and Walter L. McFadden, both of Kingstree; and two sisters, Sarah L. McFadden and Gloria Burgess, both of Kingstree.
