Mike R. Fierros, Sunrise August 28, 1918 Sunset April 27, 2012, resident of San Jose, was born August 28, 1918 in the city of Pacoima, CA and served in the US Army in 1942 during World War II. Mike proudly served his country as a Grade Sergeant Receiver until his discharge in 1946, part of which was spent in Okinawa, Japan. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign, America Campaign, World War II Victory, and Good Conduct medals. Mike worked for AJ Raisch Paving Co. for over 30 yrs and was a member of Operator Engineers Local #3. Mike loved to dance, play cards and spend time with his many nieces, nephews and godchildren. He leaves behind his loving wife of 75 years, Mary J. Fierros, brother Joseph Garcia (Linda), brother in law Ciro Contreras. Sister Mary Davila (Antonio), Mary Robledo (Ralph), Julia Del Moro (Marcie). Sister in laws Carol Fierro, Josepine Fierro and many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Refugia Garcia and brothers Joe Fierro, Antonio Fierro, Delfino Garcia, (Carol) and Frank Garcia (Rae). Sisters Ella Jimenez (Joe), Lena Tillie Garcia, Esmeralda Contreras and Lucy Lopez. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 6 from 4pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm and a funeral service on Monday, May 7 at 10am at Oak Hill Funeral Home's Chapel of Roses.
