He was a machinist for Clark Equipment Company for 33 years retiring in 1975. Christof enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing. Was a longtime member of the AFL-CIO.
He married Phyllis Smith on March 7, 1942, she died on August 21, 2009. Surviving are daughters, Janet (Earl) Kincaid of Ceresco, Michigan and Christine (Jerome Klopfenstein) Klein of Battle Creek; Sister, Margaret Swartz of East Leroy, Michigan; Brother, Franklin (Neisha) Klein of East Leroy, Michigan; two granddaughters, fours grandsons, and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Services, with Military Honors, will take place 11:00 am, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Memorials may goto Lifespan-Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
