Christof Klein, 90, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born November 22, 1922 in Athens, Michigan to Christof and Wilhelmina (Bauerle) Klein. Christof graduated from Athens High School and served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

He was a machinist for Clark Equipment Company for 33 years retiring in 1975. Christof enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing. Was a longtime member of the AFL-CIO.

He married Phyllis Smith on March 7, 1942, she died on August 21, 2009. Surviving are daughters, Janet (Earl) Kincaid of Ceresco, Michigan and Christine (Jerome Klopfenstein) Klein of Battle Creek; Sister, Margaret Swartz of East Leroy, Michigan; Brother, Franklin (Neisha) Klein of East Leroy, Michigan; two granddaughters, fours grandsons, and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Services, with Military Honors, will take place 11:00 am, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Memorials may goto Lifespan-Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
