DR. RICHARD T. "DICK" KERCHEVAL passed away on Jan. 2nd, 2005. Dick was a staff sergeant in WWII, a proud American, a wonderful Dentist, and a life long Longhorn, but mostly a devoted and loving husband and father. He had immense passion for mom's cooking, golf on Wednesday's, a lifetime of great friends, anything in burnt orange, and family. To Dick, friends and family were like old shoes and worn pants-an integral part of his every day and loved dearly. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 53 years, Rosmary, his sons Rick and Steve, his daughters Lynn, Paula and Gale and his grandkids Jason, Christy, Kelly, Bart, Ryan and Andy. The family, on Dick's behalf, want to thank the tremendous care given by the Houston Hospice staff, in particular, Mary, Maureen, Ada and Paula who's loving hands, and gentle, genuine care gave solace to us all and allowed for respectful dignity to the end. Our heartfelt thanks. Friends are invited to visitation with the family Wed, Jan 5th, 2005, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Dr. in Houston. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated Thur, Jan 6th, 2005, at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S. 4th St. in Richmond. Rite of Committal will follow, via escorted cortege, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, located at I-10 and Eldridge. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests donations be sent to the Houston Hospice or the Sacred Heart Building Fund.
