Emil August, born August 15, 1915 in Browning, Sask., moved to BC in 1939 and working for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 177 for 24 years. Predeceased by his daughters Sharon Toth and Marlene Lustig and brother Edward. He is survived by his loving wife Alice, sons; Dale (Linda), Wayne, Danny (Luly), Kevin (Kathleen), Sean (Marina), Michael (Tammy), daughters; Karleen (Norman), Anne (Richard), sons-in-law; Hank Lustig and Tony Toth, grandchildren; Theresa, Leanne, Steven, Dwight, Lance, Kenny, Darryl, Charleen, Ramona, Anthony, Steven, Joey, Jennifer, Brianna, Amanda, Katrina, Ryan, Brayden, Michael, Laurrissa. Johnathon and Brandon, several great grandchildren, sisters Florence (Dick), Zella, Dorothy and Edna and brother Wilburt (Margaret), sister-in-law Elsie and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Chapel, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby, BC, on Friday, April 1, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Burial Park. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Variety Club.
