Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Miss Elizabeth Juanita Abernathy, age 91, of Robertstown. Miss Abernathy passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, February 25, 2013 from Chattahoochee United Methodist Church with Rev, Jack Summers and Rev. Randy Walworth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Miss Abernathy was born in White County on November 23, 1921 to the late Jesse G. Abernathy and Tattie Abernathy. She was a homemaker and loved her family and her church, Chattahoochee United Methodist, where she was a lifelong member.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Novice Lee Cantrell, Ida Jemima Padgett and Murrell Thomason as well as her brothers, George Bailey Abernathy and James Edmund Abernathy.

Miss Abernathy is survived by her brother William Curtis Abernathy of Denver, Colorado as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A special thank you goes to her special caregivers as well as the team from Hospice at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm.
