World War Vetern and Member of Prominent West Conshohocken Family
John Kersey Davis, 46, husband of Dr. Ida Anderson Davis, of Phoenixville, a former well known resident of Conshohocken and member of a prominent Montgomerty county family, died yesterday at the naval Hospital, Philadelphia, Death was due to a heart ailment. He had been a patient at the hospital only a few days.
He was born in Bridgeport, the son of Reese P. Davis, of Conshohocken, and the late Jennie Henderson Davis and was prominently known in this section. For some years he was associated with the firm of William Davis and Son, of West Conshohocken. He served in the World War, sustaining injuries while in action in France.
He is survived by his wife, his father, an officer of the First National Bank, of Conshohocken, and head of the William Davis and Son firm, and a sister, Mrs. John McAllister, of Media. Two half-brothers, Norris and William Davis, of Conshohocken also survive him.
The funeral will be held Wednesday from his home in Phoenixville, with services at 2 at St. John's Reformed church, Phoenixville. Interment will be made at the Riverside Cemetery mausoleum, Norristown.
