Bruce "Kenny" Long, 38, of Lexington, husband of Andrea Cooper Long, lost his year long battle with cancer Tuesday, April 23, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was the son of Harold "Doc" Long and Sheila Jackson Long.
He was a warehouse associate with Dreisbach Wholesale Florist and was an avid sports fan.
Besides his wife and parents, survivors include one son, Jordan Meilich – Long; one daughter, Alexandra Cooper – Long; one sister, Heather (Jared) Long Redding; one niece, Avery Redding; two step sisters, Julie and Carla Holman.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Milward – Southland with burial to follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 PM Friday and from 11 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested to Central Bank in the names of Jordan Meilich – Long and Alexandra Cooper – Long.
