Lucas Paul Hawkins, a lifelong resident of Livermore, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, of injuries from an auto accident. He was 26.
Born Oct. 24, 1975, in Livermore, Mr. Hawkins was a graduate of Granada High School and was attending California State University, Hayward, where he was within one quarter of completing a bachelor's degree. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, wrestling and basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and with his long-time companion, Christi Perez.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his father, Dr. Gerald P. Hawkins, and brothers Zachary and Andrew Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Hawkins, in 1998.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Celebration Christian Center, 1135 Bluebell Drive in Livermore.
