George Milton Boyer, 91, of 1206 E. Eighth St., Anderson, IN, died Wednesday morning August 27, 1969 at St. John's Hospital where he had been two days, after several years' ill health. Born in Ashland Township, Clarion County, PA, on April 13, 1878, he was a son of Jeremiah and Rachel Weaver Boyer.


He came to Anderson from Franklin, PA, 24 years ago. He was a pioneer member of the Church of God and attended Park Place Church of God. In his early years, he had traveled as a singer for the church.


He married Mary Martha McCracken, who survives, with two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Zylvia) Revelant of Ashtabula, OH; and Mrs. Leon (Jean) Barnes of Escondido, CA; three granddaughters, Mrs. Mary Louise Borger of Albuquerque, NM, Mrs. Betty Lou Wyant of Franklin and Mrs. Thea Matlock of San Diego, CA; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are seven brothers and one sister.


Dr. Hillary Rice and the Rev. Warren Roark will officiate at services at 2 p.m. Friday at the Baker Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, IN.
