MRS. HARRIET JANE MILLER, 81, a well-known resident of Knox and the widow of Nathan Miller who died November 4, 1935, died in her home there Sunday morning January 5, 1936 at 10:30 o'clock following an illness of four weeks. Mrs. Miller had resided in Knox since 1897 and was highly esteemed throughout the community. She was a devout member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church and until failing health prevented, took an active interest in all church societies and the Sunday school. She had been a teacher of the Ladies' Bible class. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashland Township on October 16, 1854, a daughter of Neri and Mary Mitchell Boyer. She married Mr. Miller at Nineveh on January 21, 1877. Surviving are one sister, Vista Priscilla Cribbs of Fremont, OH and two brothers, William Grant Boyer of Knox and Rev. N. Frank Boyer of Clarendon. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. R.S. Wilson, pastor of the Nineveh Evangelical Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Knox Union Cemetery.
