She was born April 2, 1912, near Pleasant Plains, the daughter of Edward J.F. Sr. and Louise Hagen Fetzer. She married Joseph Taylor in 1933; he preceded her in death. An infant daughter, Verna Lee, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Taylor was an Avon representative. She also worked for Curly Gibson's Market, International Shoe Co. and Harper Oil Co.
She served as a den mother for Cub Pack 26 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors: son, J. Lloyd Taylor of Springfield; daughter, Joan L. Sanders of Springfield; foster son, William H. Herndon of Springfield; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother, Edward J.F. (wife, Connie) Fetzer Jr. of Bloomington; sister, Helen F. (husband, Gene) Abney of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday, Oak Ridge Cemetery, the Rev. Thomas Radtke officiating.
