He was a 1937 graduate of The Medical College of South Carolina School of Pharmacy and was a member of Citadel Square Baptist Church, the Exchange Club of Charleston and the Fellowship Society.
Mr. Andrews was the widower of Edna Smith Andrews and is survived by one son: Rev. Alfred E. Andrew, Jr. of Wilkesboro, NC; one daughter: Anella Sansbury of Columbia, SC; one step-brother: John A. Margiotta of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
