John B. Silk, age 88, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010, at his home. He was born August 12, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas to John W. Silk and Mabel Lee Moore Silk. John married Helen Hall on July 18, 1941 in Denton. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. John was a member of Pilot Point United Methodist Church, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He and his wife, Helen owned and operated the John Silk Feed Store in Dallas for many years. He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
