ISHPEMING, Mich. - Betty E. Anderson, age 100, formerly of East Barnum Street, Ishpeming, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.
Betty was born in Ishpeming on December 6, 1912 to the late John and Elizabeth (Anderson)Sjolander She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School in 1929 and was employed at the Carnegie Public Library for 46 years. After retirement, Betty worked part time as a Medical Librarian at Bell Memorial Hospital for twelve years. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by a cousin, Mary Ann (Jim) Storms of Garfield, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Virgil "Dick" Anderson, her parents, two brothers, John and Walter Sjolander, and a nephew, Kenneth.
Interment will be in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
