Betty was born in Ishpeming on December 6, 1912 to the late John and Elizabeth (Anderson)Sjolander She was a graduate of Ishpeming High School in 1929 and was employed at the Carnegie Public Library for 46 years. After retirement, Betty worked part time as a Medical Librarian at Bell Memorial Hospital for twelve years. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by a cousin, Mary Ann (Jim) Storms of Garfield, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Virgil "Dick" Anderson, her parents, two brothers, John and Walter Sjolander, and a nephew, Kenneth.
Interment will be in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
