"A Good Colored Man Gone.
Willis Glenn died at his home on the place of Mr. A. S. Glenn near Hatchechubbee last Wednesday, of fever, after an illness of five days. He was well known in the sourhern [sic] part of the county as a good carpenter. He not only knew how to do the work of that kind, but could make close and accurate calculations on every thing of the kind. There was not in all this country a better workman than Willis. He was a true man, loyal in his devotion to his friends and accommodating in any situation. He was seventy years of age. May he rest in peace."
