Nellie Mae Durkee, 85, 2013 Perkins, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Nature Trail Nursing Home. Graveside services were to be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Oakwood cemetery, with
the Rev. Howard Kraps officiating. Mrs. Durkee was born in Ewing on March 30, 1889, the daughter of George and Julie Taylor. In 1953 she was married to Fred Durkee, who died in 1960. She was previously married to Charles Severns who died in 1941. She is survived by a foster daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ellen Taylor, of Clyria, Ohio; and two step-daughters, Mrs. Inez Hicks and Mrs. Helen Van Horn, both of Mt. Vernon.
