He was born Feb. 14, 1922 in Benjamin, a son of James and LaVern Bradford Beckstrom. He married Louise Jex on March 22, 1947 in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Beckstrom received his education in Spanish Fork schools and served in the U.S.
Navy for three years during World War II. For several years he had been employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a car inspector. He was a member of the LDS Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his widow and four daughters, Mrs. Susan Johnson, Smithfield; Joan
Beckstrom, Provo; Mrs. Rodger (Lucille) Hansen, Spanish Fork, and Ruth Beckstrom, Lake Shore; two grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Clyde Beckstrom, Jay B. Beckstrom and Mrs. Harley (Jane) Robler, all of South Gate, Calif., and Mrs. Howard (Lois) Heler of California.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Lake Shore LDS Ward Chapel, Friends
may call at the Walker Mortuary, Spanish Fork, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday in the church Relief Society room prior to services. Burial will be in Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
