Services for Mr. Tom D. Adcox, age 71, of New Chapel Hill are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013, in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with the Revs. Mike Littlefield and Sammy Draper officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery.

Mr. Adcox died on Thursday, April 25, 2013. He was born on Jan. 13, 1942, in Talco to Thomas U. and Ethel Mae Burton Adcox and was formerly of Lindale, Tyler, Dalhart and Houston before moving to New Chapel Hill 20 years ago.

Mr. Adcox was a conductor for the St. Louis Southwestern Railway (Cotton Belt) and also was lead investigator for the Youngdahl Sadin Law Firm, which became the Provost & Umphrey Law firm, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Tyler Tabernacle Church in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ethel Adcox; sisters, Loretta Pourteau and Ruth West; and brothers-in-law, Alex Pourteau, Gus West, Ron Nelson and Carrol Johnston.

Survivors include wife, Mrs. Pat Adcox, of New Chapel Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Les Goodrich, of Dublin, Ga.; granddaughter and husband, Amber and Brandon Mays, of Tyler; grandson and wife, Kris and Cari Goodrich, of Gilmer; great-granddaughter, Kloe Goodrich, of Gilmer; sisters, Jean Johnston and Noasha Nelson, both of Daingerfield, Shirley Freudenthal and husband Albert, of Mount Pleasant, and Barbara Lewis and husband Jack, of Daingerfield; sister-in-law, Kathy Wilson, of Tyler; brother-in-law and wife, Mickey Brewster and wife Charlotte, of Gilmer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
