Francis Gerald Calhoon, 68, of Las Vegas died Feb. 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Le Mars,Iowa. He moved to Las Vegas when he was 1 years old.
He is survived by his wife,Mitzi Kennings and Brothers, Charles Calhoon, John Calhoon, Ken Calhoon and Clifford Calhoon; and one sister, Shirley Calhoon Diaz. Daughters Cathleen and Dianna. Sons, Jerry and Steve. Many Granddaughters and Grandsons. But was closest to his Granddaughter Stephanie Sunderland. He served in Korea from 1947 to 1950. He joined when he was 15. He was a brave and courageous man.
He was cremated and buried at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson,Nevada.
