INDEPENDENCE - James B. Adams, a resident of Independence all his life, here at his home Tuesday from heart trouble, following an attack a week ago; born here April. 24, 1870,
son of Wm. and Elizabeth Adams; attended Independence schools and later learned the carpenter's trade, which he followed most f his later life; married here Aug. 1, 1893, to Rachel E. Litts, who preceded him in death several years ago; member of the Masonic fraternity and of the Methodist church; leaves son, Harold J. Adams, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Lonien, both of Independence; funeral, Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Swan funeral home; burial in Mt. Hope cemetery; body at the funeral home.
