Reverend Lawrence Ray Cato was born in San Francisco, California on June 28, 1957, to the proud parents Bonnie and Luther Cato Sr., (who preceded him in death). He attended public school in San Francisco, California, where he received his education at George Washington High School. He was baptized at an early age at the New Strangers Home Missionary Baptist Church, San Francisco, CA., under thepastorage of the late Reverend U. E. Jones., where he served as musician for the church choir. Reverend Cato was ordained in 1987. He worked as administrative assistant for the Internal Revenue Service, and later for the U.S. Post Office. He met and married Yvonne Eileen Mesta, on July 23, 1988, and to this union was born five children. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Yvonne, son Timothy, daughters; Danielle, Alisha, Lauren, and Taylor: three brothers: Luther Jr., (Carol) , Willie (Easter), Jimmie (Gilda), Arlista (deceased); four sisters; Aja Lois,Zelma (Johnny) Catherine Bradley, Petherlene Wingate, and Barbara Brown ; special friend Deacon Willie Bradley, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church family.
