Mrs. Jackie Harvey Vaughan, a loving sister, aunt, mother, cherished grand-mother and great grand-mother passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2010 in the Clear Lake area of Houston. She was born to C.H. (Jack) and Jessie Lou Harvey on March 21, 1929 in Wortham, Texas. She and her husband Thomas E. Vaughan celebrated their fifieth wedding anniversary on April 8, 2010, in the home of her surviving sister, Melva and her husband Bill Turner in Dawson.
Jackie is survived by an only son, Cliff Waters and wife Maurleen, an only granddaughter, Melissa Hickman and husband Neal. The joys of her life were her great-grandchildren, Juliana and Jake Hickman.
After graduation from Mexia High School, she attended Westminister College in Tehuacana. For more than twenty years she worked for Ben Brown Insurance Agency in Pasadena.
Because of her extreme friendliness and winning personality, Jackie will be missed by many friends and relatives.
Visitation is 5 to 7 pm, Friday, April 30th at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 pm Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Mexia Cemetery with the Reverend Brad Brittain offiicating.
