He was married to Ruby (Witt) Dudark. To this union, there were four children born, Debbie, Terri Ruth, Linda Jo and Robert Charles.
Tragedy struck this family in May 1976 when a teenage boy stole a police car in Lawton and crashed into the family car. Ruby, her mother, Linda Jo, Debbie's 1st born, Jennifer Felty were killed. This personal tradedy proved to be too pain for Bobby and he took his own life on August 2 of the same year!
