Stella T. Beggs, 78, Brasher Falls, died Tuesday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Beggs was a cook with Chris Fay's Restaurant, Potsdam, and a ticket seller at Clarkson Area.

Born the daughter of Henry and Ethel Revier Clemmo, she attended Massena schools and married Fred H. Beggs of Stockholm on Jan. 23, 1937 at the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage, Nicholville, with Rev. M.E.VanOrnum officiating. Mrs. Beggs died Nov. 18, 1981. She was a member of Tri-Town Senior Citizens Group.

Surviving are three sons, Robert, Brooksville, FL, Bruce, Winthrop, and Barry, Norwood; two daughters, Donna Van DeWalle, Lyons, and Barbara Gardner, Massena; a brother, Roy Clemmo, Massena; three sisters, Beatrice White and Florence "Tackie" White, both of Massena, and Irene Fayette, Winthrop; 12 grandchildren.

Three grandchildren, Kevin, Kaala and Meagan Huto, a brother, John Clemmo and two sisters, Genevieve Brown and Joyce Wright, died before her.
