Georganna Catherine "Catty" Mowen, 63, of 1216 Frederick St., Hagerstown, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at her home. Born May 10, 1934, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late George Raleigh and Clearsey Briscoe Haines Timbrook.

She was an adult caregiver. She was a member of First Brethren Church. She was a member of Hagerstown Moose Lodge and Redmen 84.

She is survived by her husband, David Edward Mowen; three daughters, Kathy Seburn, Penny L. Shields and Lisa Mowen Bachtell, all of Hagerstown; one son, Mark Mowen of Hagerstown; one sister, Clara M. Brown of Hagerstown; one brother, Charles E. Timbrook of Williamsport; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, James E. Mowen; and two sisters, Virginia Raffensberger and Helen Ocker.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Harold Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. There will be no viewing.
