LOGAN - The Rev. Miranda N. Casto, 87, of 337 W. Second St., Logan, died Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.

Born in West Virginia, he lived in Logan since 1902. The Rev. Mr. Casto was an inspector for the Hocking Valley Brick Co. In 1938 he built and ministered to the First Church of the New Covenant in Logan until his retirement two years ago. At the time of his death he was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Xena; four sons, Herbert, of Columbus; Lawrence, Arthur, and Harold, all of Logan; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Alice) Slusher, Logan; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Burkhart and Mrs. Gertie Bolmger, both of Logan.

He was preceded in death in 1955 by his first wife, Louise (Lulu) Ruble Casto; two sons, Harry and Claude; three grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Home with Hughes and Heinlein Funeral Home with the Rev. Edna Rev. R. W. Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
