Beverly Rose Bundgaard (nee: Girard) left this earth on February 8, 2013, to be with her Savior and Lord. Bev was born August 30, 1929, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Walter and Madeline Girard and lived her childhood in Ashland, Ladysmith and Phillips. She graduated from Ladysmith High in 1947, where she had been active in art and band, playing the clarinet. Bev and Arne moved their family to Bruce in 1969.

Bev married Arne L. Bundgaard in April of 1953 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Bev loved her family in every way. She made holidays special and at Christmas, she made her home a magical wonderland. Bev's home was "high school central" after school on Fridays for the farm kids that didn't have time to go home after school and before a game would start. Bev fed everyone and the family dining room table was always full of neighbors and friends. With seven kids, her house was the undisputed hangout. She loved gardening and yard work but with seven kids, a yard game was always in progress, so her lawn had a worn look to it, but that didn't stop her from working hard in her flower beds. Bev was a den mother to her Cub Scout boys, a teacher of the arts to her daughters and a mentor and friend to each of her children. She was loving and kind.

A devoted Christian, Bev enjoyed her work at both Lutheran parishes she belonged to. At Nathaniel, she served as church president and council member. She did more than everything required, including cleaning the church and serving families at church events. Bev volunteered ten years at the Rusk County Memorial Hospital auxillary and loved her time there.

Bev loved her husband, Arne, who preceded her in death, as did sons, Thomas and Bradley, her brother John (Jug) Girard and her mother and father. Surviving are her brother Jim (Joyce) Girard and sister, Carol Jean Thomas. Sons Lawrence, Robert A. and Van and daughters Sandra (Fred) Keiser and Susan (Mark) Szuster. Grandchildren Jason, Bobby, Justine, Kyle, Tera, Erica, Lindsey, Luke, Ashley, Avery, Brent and Aaron and 8 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11 at Nathaniel Lutheran Church in Bruce, WI, with Pastor Larry Sturgis officiating.

The Nash Jackan Funeral Home is assisting the family with the service and arrangements.
