Carroll Lee Bass, 81, of Lee County, GA, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, GA. Rev. Russell Anglin will officiate.

A native of Americus, GA, born to the late Arthur T. and Ruby Bass, Sr, Mr. Bass was a 1948 graduate of Americus High School. He had resided in Albany for fifty years before moving to Lee County in 1997. Mr. Bass was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Air Force.

He was employed with Southern Bell Telephone Company for forty one years before his retirement and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Mr. Bass was a member and former Deacon of Raleigh White Baptist Church. He also served as the director of the Children's Department and was a former Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include his wife, Faye C. Bass of Lee Co., GA, two daughters, Gayle Bass (John Elsesser, Jr.) Webb and Pam Bass, all of Lee County, GA.
