Mrs. Margaret Warren was born in county Wexford, Ireland, April 27, 1818, and died at her home in this city January 25, 1904, thus if her life had been spared until April 27th she would have been 85 years old. She came to America in the autumn of 1849 and was married to Thomas Warren, who still survives her, October 28, 1849, in New York City, where they lived until the spring of 1854. They then moved to Newville where they made their home until 1872, when they moved to Edgerton where they have since lived. Living for 32 years in their present home and the house on the corner of Washington Street they watched the city of Edgerton grow.

Mrs. Warren was the mother of six children, two of whom, Mrs. Mary J. Hammond and Hannah Thwing preceded her into the other world. The four children still living are Joseph Warren of Beloit; Mrs. Thomas Driver of Milton, Mrs. Maggie Hanson of Herman, MN, and Atkin Warren of this city. There are also living twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In early life Mrs. Warren united with the Episcopal church which she attended when had the opportunity, but since coming to Edgerton she has attended the M. E. Church as faithfully as home duties and health would permit. She was kind hearted and very sympathetic, and while she had the strength was constantly going to minister to those in trouble and sickness. Many still living will remember her helpfulness in time of sickness and the cheer of her presence in times of trouble and the touch of her kind hand in the time of bereavement. But now the Master has said it is enough, come on high. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 at the home and 11 A.M. at the M. E. Church, Rev. A. W. Stephens officiating.
