GIFFORD E. ANDERSON


ANDERSON, GIFFORD E. Anderson, Gifford E. "Andy" age 87 of Shelby, AL formerly of Birmingham, AL went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2013.

He was a very kind and loving man. He will be thought of and missed every single day by family and friends.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WW II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 22 years of service.

After he retired from the Navy he owned Andy Anderson Realty in Memphis, TN.

He was preceded in death by his son, Alan E. Anderson and his mother, Jessie Williams Stephens.

Andy is survived by his daughters, Janice L Ross of Georgia, Sharon K. (Steve) McAlister of Oklahoma, and Sandra L (Jim) Tamboli of Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Anne Anderson of Georgia; grandchildren, Chris Spicer, Dawn Kressley, Traci Gray, Steven McAlister, Michael Tamboli, Amber Anderson, and Faith Anderson; 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2013 from 11:30 until 12:30.

A graveside will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery.
