Mr. Knight was born January 16, 1933 in Liberty to the late Forest Dewitt Knight and Lillian Knight. He was a life-long farmer and a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Greenpond United Methodist Church. His greatest legacy was that he was a wonderful father and a hard worker.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Hawk and Raven Knight, Steve and Liz Knight, and David and Penny Knight; and two daughters, Bonnie and Dan Collins and Dixie Heath and husband Brian; three brothers, Walter Knight and wife Judy, Clyde Knight, and Tommy Knight and wife Sharon; seven sisters, Louise Gibson, Sybil Henderson and husband Fred, Peggy Gilstrap, Grace Spith and husband Gary, Jody Snipes, Bonnie Sue Humphrey, and Lorraine Lockaby and husband Bill; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Ray.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 5th, at Fletcher Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Greenpond United Methodist Church Cemetery. A Native American Tribal Ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Long House in Gray Court.
