Mrs. Broaddus, the widow and third wife of John W. Broaddus, died at the home of her brother-in-law, B. W. Flippo. The daughter of James Madison and Rebecca K. Farish Dillard, she was survived by a brother and four sisters. She was originally buried at Bethesda Church on 19 May 1925.
