MOCKSVILLE - Mr. Gerald Leroy "Kippy" Canupp Jr., 44, of Legion Hut Road, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Canupp was born Jan. 24, 1964, in Forsyth County. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Cooleemee. Mr. Canupp enjoyed animals, especially his dog, Raven and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother; paternal grandparents, Otis & Iona Canupp and maternal grandparents, Willie Lee & Fannie Pepper.

Survivors include his father, Gerald Leroy Sharp (Libby) Canupp Sr. of Woodleaf; his mother, Donna Rebecca Pepper (Allen) Eddins of Tenn.; a son, Gerald Leroy Bo Canupp III of the home; a sister, Donna Katherine Faulkner of Morristown, Tenn.; a brother, Michael Franklin Canupp of Dillon, MT; three stepsisters, Rebecca Eddins of Morristown, Tenn., Tina Gray of Woodleaf and Linn Waggoner of Salisbury; two stepbrothers, Joe Myers of Woodleaf and Mark Myers of Mocksville; and his companion of 14 years, Katherine Gregg. Service: A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Eaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Abernathy officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes before the service.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be considered for American Diabetes Association, Charlotte NC Office, 222 South Church St., Suite 336M, Charlotte, NC 28202.
