NEPEAN -- Evan Charles Nepean, 61, 418 Park Ave, died at 3:20 am Saturday, March 20, 1965 in St. Anthony Hospital after a three-week illness. Born June 4, 1903, in Sycamore, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Nepean. Lived 45 years in Rockford, coming here from Sycamore. Married to the former Alma Kuntzelman in Rockford Dec 25, 1925. He worked for the Tuckwood Restaurant for 19 years; then operated the Times Restaurant for six years; and then worked as a tie clerk for Barber-Colman Co, the past 15 years. Member of Star in the East Masonic Lodge 166; Winnebago Chapter 24, Royal Arch Masons; Crusader Commander 17--Knights Templar; Tebala Shrine; and Loyal Order of the Moose. Survivors include: his wife, Alma; two sons, Charles and Evan, both of Rockford; one sister, Mrs. Maude Shellito, Dekalb; and four grandchildren. Services at 1:30 pm Tuesday, March 23, in Long-Klontz Funeral Home, 428 Park Ave, with Rev James B Adamson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 pm to 8:30 pm Monday.
