PATRICIA TRAVIS NAPA Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at her home on June 15, 2003. Patricia was born April 23, 1916, in Toronto, Canada, to Winifred and James Hussey. When she was two years old the family returned to California. She graduated from Vallejo High School in 1932 and Munson School for private secretaries in San Francisco, where she worked for a doctors' billing agency, retiring in 1979. Patricia worked with the PTA, Blue Birds, Brownies and hosted several weddings and charitable fundraisers in her home. She loved antiques, her home and garden, to read, play tennis, and she enjoyed watching all sporting events. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Thomas Hutson Travis, daughters Ann Ghiselin of Napa and Deborah Salamida of El Dorado Hills, sons-in-law Richard Ghiselin and Joe Salamida, grandchildren Tiffany Ghiselin, Todd Ghiselin and Rachel Salamida, grandson-in-law Pekka Rintala, sisters Vera Braito of Oregon, Cecelia Bickford and Kathleen Hillier of Napa and Del Mitchell of Stockton and many nieces and nephews. Private committal was held June 20 at Tulocay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation in her memory may be made to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Dr. Vallejo, CA 94589.
