Minnie Mae Harrell Frye, 84, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
She was born July 14, 1927, in Jacksonville, the daughter of John Sr. and Jennie Maude Carter Harrell. She married Joseph Ray Frye on Aug. 7, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1981.
She is survived by two sons, Walter (Toni) Frye of Chesterton, Ind., and John (Carrie) Frye of Medaryville, Ind.; one daughter, Brenda Frye of Cincinnati; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Tribble of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by sons, Michael and Theodore; daughters, Mary Jo and Deborah Goodman; great-granddaughter Breanna Joseph; nine brothers, Howard, William, Owen, Hearold, Clyde, Rollie, John Jr., Chalmer and Eugene; and seven sisters, Esther Cox, Goldie Chaney, Fae Stubblefield, Kay Hart, Marie Bohler, Gloria Wallace and Gladys Miller.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends following the service.
