Funeral services for Pearl C. Barnhart will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction, with Pastor Pat Slater officiating. Burial will be held in the Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.
Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Oxford Junction.
Pearl C. Wright was born on May 4, 1914 in Paducah, Kentucky, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Caudill) Wright. She graduated from Olin High School. She married Wilbur W. Barnhart in December 1936 in Galena, Illinois. Wilbur died on August 25, 1969. Pearl was a homemaker and had farmed with her husband near Wyoming. She also owned and operated her own craft shop out of her home for many years. She was a member of the Wyoming Homemaker's Club and had been a 4-H leader. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, gardening and baking.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Janice (Mrs. Jim) Dunn of Frost, Texas, June (Mrs. Arnold) Yoerger of DeWitt, Brenda (Mrs. Bob) Breeden of Maquoketa and Linda (Mrs. Steve) Pauly of Dubuque; 3 sons, Orville (& Cathy) Barnhart of Davenport, Lowell (& Jean) Barnhart of North East, Maryland and Noel (& Nancy) Barnhart of Delmar. 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and one brother. Pearl C. Barnhart of Oxford Junction died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue following a brief illness, at the age of 91 years.
