M.A. (Colucci) Kachar, 95 years, of Monroe, MI, passed away Friday, May, 3, 2013 at the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Care Center in Monroe.
Born August 19, 1917 in Black Mountain, KY, the daughter of the late Tom and Odessa (Tyra) Gamble. In 1921 The family moved to Monroe along with grandparents Will and Bell Tyra.
She attended both Lincoln Elementary and Monroe High School, where she was given the nickname Mazie.
She married Michael J. Colucci in 1934 in the Rectory at St. Joseph Church officiated by Father O'Riley. Within their union, Mary Ann and Michael had two sons: Joseph J. and Michael W. Colucci and one daughter: Mary Jo Colucci.
In 1948 Mary Ann married Emil Kachar with whom she had one daughter: Sandra M. (Getman) Kachar.
Mary Ann is survived by two loving daughters: Mary Jo (Colucci) Stoyanovich of Monroe, MI and Sandra M. Getman of Fort Myers, FL, a son Joseph J. Colucci of Bloomfield Hills, MI, nine grandsons: Joseph, David, Daniel Colucci, Patrick and Michael Stoyanovich, Shawn Beasly, Ryan Smith, Scott and Jacob Getman, three granddaughters: Kristina (Colucci) Redmond, Georgann (Stoyanovich) Kaiser and Kimberly Colucci, six great-grandsons: Jack Redmond, Joseph and Cory Colucci, Michael Kaiser, Jordon Beasley and Austin Bailey, and six great granddaughters: Alexandria and Sarah Kaiser, Antonia, Sophia, Lina, Lidia Stoyanovich.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a son: Michael W. Colucci, a brother: William Gallagher, a daughter-in-law: Diane M. Colucci, a son-in-law: George Stoyanovich and a sister-n-law: Juanita Gallagher.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 - 8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM, Fr. Daniel C. Complo will officiate. Rosary 6:30 PM Friday evening. Private interment will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery, West Bloomfield, MI.
