Edward was born on October 8th, 1936 in Calhoun County, Georgia, son of the late George Robert Prince and Lois Arrington Prince. He was retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company following thirty six years of dedicated service. Edward was a UTU member of the Railroad and was a Silver Comet Trail guard. He was a member of the Cedartown Church of Christ and in the past had served as a deacon of the Church of Christ in Griffin, Georgia.
Edward was survived by his loving and devoted wife, Evelyn Pollard Prince: two sons, Edward Warner Jr. (and his wife, Robyn) Prince and Ryan (and his wife, Robin) Prince; one daughter, Trenna (and her husband, Dewayne "Honk") Smith; seven grandchildren, Chasity Prince Montgomery, Megan Prince Biddy, Jordan Smith, Brett Prince, Baylee Prince, Dalton Prince, and Hunter Smith; four great grandchildren, Bryson Biddy, Kylie Biddy, Emily Biddy, and Wyatt Montgomery; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Robert and Lois Arrington Prince; one brother, Joe Prince, and three sisters, Lucille Cambron, Margaret Steele, and Joyce Wilkes.
Visitations were held on Wednesday, April 24th, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home in Cedartown, Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 25th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedartown Church of Christ with Minister Douglas Simms and Mr. Bill Lundy officiating.
His pallbearers were: Steve Pollard, Ken Pollard, Richard Pollard, James Davis, Bobby Dempsey, and Ricky Mathis. His honorary pallbearers were: past and present members of the Norfolk-Southern Railroad as well as Brett Prince, Dalton Prince, Hunter Smith, Wyatt Montgomery, and Bryson Biddy.
Interment followed in the Borden Springs Church of Christ Cemetery in Borden Springs, Alabama.
