El Paso Times, El Paso, TX, Wed., 1 June 1955, pg.15.
Gale's note: My grandfather, Joseph Marmaduke Maddux, was the son of Thomas Marmaduke Maddux and Letha Ann Hart. His father died by the time Joe was 8 and I have been unable to find where his father died or is buried. The two options are Louisiana and Texas.
Joe was married three times: First to Cordelia Carr, then to my grandmother, Hildreth Elizabeth Crawford Westmoreland and then to Jessie Ward Bean. He had a total of 7 children.
His daughters were Hortense Maddux Nixon Duval, Betty Jo Maddux Wieselman and Mary Ann Maddux Majors. His sons were Joseph Langston Maddux, Sr., James T. Maddux, Henry Clayton Maddux and my Dad, Frederick Crawford Maddux.
