He was predeceased by four sisters, Rita White, Amelia Lazore, Helen Rouselle and
Melissa; and four brothers, Louie, Albert, Joseph and Jerome McDonald. He was born May 14, 1905 in Hogansburg, the son of Mitchell and Louise (Jock) McDonald. He attended school in Snye, Que. He married Mary Hopps on June 3, 1929 at the St.
Regis Church with the Rev. Joseph Bourgat, S.J. presiding. Mrs. McDonald predeceased her husband on Oct. 4, 1976. Mr. McDonald operated a farm on the Cook Road in Hogansburg for many years. He was also a millwright at the Alcoa plant in Massena for 26 years, retiring in April 1966. Mr. McDonald was president of the parish cemetery association for many years. He was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club, and was president of the St. John the Baptist Society at the St. Regis Church for many years. He taxied many folks from the reservation. He was an active member of the St. Regis Church, and he enjoyed playing the harmonica
