Jim was the son of Robert and Essie (White) Morton. A 1962 graduate of Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio and retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T. He was a Vietnam veteran serving with the U.S. Navy. Jim was a member of the Sharon Woods Baptist Church , Linden Masonic Lodge #637 and affiliated Masonic Associations and Columbus HAM Radio Club Voice of Aladdin [KB8KPJ]. He was a handyman and enjoyed amateur radio. Jim is preceded in death by his first wife Cheryl and survived by wife, Evelyn; children, Brian Morton, Darin (Heather) Morton and Jenni (Kevin) Shuford
