ELLISON Charles Donald, age 82 of OKC. He was born in Prophets Town, Ill. on June 16, 1902, died May 17, 1985. His wife Margaret Rittenhouse Ellison preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, Charles Donald Ellison Jr. of Denton, TX. George Rittenhouse Ellison of Darien, Conn., and 5 grandchildren. He graduated from the University of OK School of Law in 1927, and practiced law in OKC until his death. For the past 22 years he was a partner with Lee M. Holmes, he is well recognized for his expertise and tax knowledge of charitable foundations and organizations. He served as General Council or Trustee or Secretary of the Kirkpatrick Foundation, Omniplex the OKC Community Foundation, Waggoner Foundation, The OK Health Science Foundation, The OK Science and Arts Foundation, The Chamber of Commerce, The OKC University Foundation, The Frontiers of Science Foundation, among others. He was a member of the Beacon Club, Men's Dinner Club and the OK & American Bar Associations. He enlisted in the Navy immediately after Pearl Harbor and retired as Commander at the end of the war, he served in Naval Intelligence in New Orleans and on Admiral Nimmitz's Staff in the Pacific. He was a special friend to all those he represented and served in his numerous capacities, he loved stamp collecting, engineering and science. He will be missed by all who loved him and had the priviledge of knowing him. Services will be held Tuesday May 21, at 10am in the Hahn-Cook-Street & Draper Chapel with interment at Fairlawn.
